"That's Amore" - International
Fundraiser
It's springtime,
which means it's showtime! Our fifth bi-annual "International Fundraiser"
will take place on the evening of April 12th, with doors opening at 7:00 pm.
This year's spring show, entitled "That's Amore", will feature performances
done to a variety of Italian songs, some you may know, and some you may
not....
For your
additional pleasure, we have invited Telerick Ianakiev and Masha
Staritchenok, Regional Champions, and Elijah Clayton and Hanna Shinsato to
perform in addition to our numbers.
The estimated cost
for the Blackpool Dance Festival in May 2008 is $8344.00. A breakdown of our
expenses for the three week trip that includes 4 competitions leading up to
the main event and 32 lessons with legendary coaches. Our fundraiser goal is
$5000.00.

Blackpool Dance Festival
Schedule
We arrive in
London on May 16th, dance the Imperial Championships on the 17th. On the
18th we have Latin lessons at the Semley Dance Studio in Norbury. On the
19th we compete at the Crystal Palace Cup and on the 20th more Latin
lessons. On the 21st we travel by car to Blackpool - about 4 hours drive
north from London. In Blackpool we dance on 8 out of the 9 days - that's
what you get for being a 10-Dancer. We finish with The Blackpool Dance
Festival on the 29th and watch the Professional Standard Championships on
the 30th. On the 31st we travel back to London. Starting on the 1st through
the 5th we have Standard & Latin lessons from morning to night. On the 3rd
in particular we have 7 lessons all together in 3 different locations.
