"Dancing with the Stars" - Week 3 Elimination, April 5th, 2011

"Dancing With the Stars" Week 3 Elimination

We have to remember that the popular vote has a great deal to do with who gets eliminated. The couples with the lowest scores before the popular vote was tallied were Wendy and Tony (46), Sugar Ray and Anna (54), and Kendra and Louis (60). The highest scored couples were Hines and Kym (69), Ralph and Karina (66), and Chris and Cheryl (63). But did it come out that way during the elimination?

Almost, but not quite. Wendy and Tony were undeniably at the bottom, and shared their dismal placing with Kendra and Louis. But the third couple to join them in the circle of shame may surprise you a bit… or it may not. Sugar Ray and Anna, who had to endure the agony of possibly being kicked off the show last week, were the second couple to have their fears allayed, despite having the second lowest score. Guess those fans really pulled through for him. So who was the final couple in the circle of shame? Chris and Cheryl, who placed third in the dancing scores but whose fans obviously failed to pull through.

In the end, however, it was Wendy and Tony who waved goodbye, and I think we probably could have known that without the hour long episode of shows, songs, and other performances. Regardless, it’s time for the talk show host to be on her way, and we shall see who goes down next week.
