Figure is
commenced in Promenade Position, Man moving against Line of Dance, facing
Diagonal Center against Line of Dance. Other commencing alignments may be
used according to preceding figure.
Two or more counts
may be added to the Twist, giving a count of 1-8, 1.2 (taking total of 10
beats), then man dances Chasse to Right and lady Chasse to Left on counts 3
and 4. to maintain correct phrasing.
A little more turn
may be made on the twist, lady can rotate a little more throughout.
Steps 7 & 8 are
Promenade Close, therefore different amounts of turn may be used, man making
no turn or 1/8 to R, lady making a 1/4 or 1/8 to L between steps 7-8.
Elevation may be
used on 8, rising high on toes.
