Spanish Line in Inverted Counter Promenade Position

Intro:

This figure is commenced in Promenade or Open Promenade Position in Left to Right hand hold, however this figure may also be dances without hold. Man facing Diagonal Wall.

Precedes:

Silver: Ecart, Promenade to Counter Promenade, 1-4 Open Telemark

Gold: Fallaway Reverse Turn with Open Telemark Ending, Traveling Spins from Promenade Position

Follows:

Silver - Gold: Spanish Line in Inverted Promenade Position, Flamenco Taps in Inverted Counter Promenade Position

Use of Arms:

On steps 3 & 4 the arms are held in a curved shape from shoulder to hand, left (right hand for lady)  hand at chest height, fingers in line with, and approximately 12 inches from center of body and palm inwards.

 

 

Right (left hand for lady) hand is level with, and approximately 12 inches diagonally back from right hip (left hip for lady), palm inwards and fingers directly above head.

This figure is commenced in Inverted Counter Promenade Position with no hold and Man facing Diagonal Center against Line of Dance.

Silver- Gold: Spanish Line in Inverted Counter Promenade Position, Flamenco Taps in Inverted Counter Promenade Position

Follows:

Silver - Gold: Promenade Close (turn to Right Side Position on step 1 and 1/4 to the right for the Man and 1/4 to the left for the Lady between steps 1 & 2), Flamenco Taps in Inverted Promenade Position

Use of Arms:

On steps 1 & 2 the arms are slightly lowered in a curved shape from shoulder to hand. On steps 3 & 4 the curbed shape is retained, with right hand (left for lady) at chest height fingers in line with, and approximately 12 inches from center of body and palm inwards.

 

 

Left hand (right for lady) is level with, and approximately 12 inches diagonally back from the left hip (right for lady), palm outwards, or raised high above head on 4, palm inwards and fingers above head.
