This figure
commences in Open Position and Gentleman Facing Wall. Steps 1-2 can be repeated
to create what is called a Double Link. At the Bronze through Gold levels steps 1-5 of
the Link may precede the Whip or Whip Throwaway, in which case 1/4 turn to R
is made over Steps 3-5 (Man's step 5 is diagonally forward to end to the side and
slightly forward). At the Gold level steps 1-2 of Link with Double Hold may precede
Steps 3-20 of Stalking Walks, Flicks, and Break.

Change: Flick left forward forward from knee and slightly off
floor (or point left foot
forward without weight on the outside edge of the toe). Place left foot back with part weight,
small step on the toe, and replace weight to right foot (Lady normal opposite). Flick Ball
Change is counted QaQ. This may be danced by the Gentleman and/or Lady.
Hesitation: Hold position with weight on
left foot, close rightt to left foot, or replace
weight forward to right foot, and left foot forward (counted QaQ). The Hesitation is more
frequently danced by the Lady although it could be used by the Gentleman, commenced when
his weight is on his right foot. The Hesitation is most useful when the distance between the couple
is greater than normal, making it difficult to step back into step 1 of the Link.
