Whip

Intro:

This figure commences in Closed Position and Gentleman Backing Line of Dance. On step 1, turn is commenced towards the end of the preceding beat of music. Other amounts of turn may be used on the Whip. Gentleman's minimum amount of turn is as chart, maximum 1 and 1/8; most of the turn is made over steps 1 & 2. For Lady minimum is as chart, maximum 1 and 3/8, most of turn is made over steps 1 & 2 as well.

Bronze - Silver: 1-5 Fallaway Rock (Man chasse diagonally forward, LRL, turning 3/8 to the right to end with left foot to the side and slightly forward, facing Lady; Lady chasse forward RLR, not turn) 1-5 Link, Walks (followed by a chasse diagonally forward, LRL, turning 3/8 to the right to end with left foot to the side and slightly forward facing Lady; Lady chasse forward, RLR, no turn)

Gold: Curly Whip

Follows:

Bronze: Fallaway Rock, Fallaway Throwaway, Change of Places Right to Left, Walks, Mooch

Silver: Reverse Whip

Gold: Curly Whip (when Whip is ended in Closed Position)
